Is there any rhyme or reason to how the order of the author names are listed on the sidebar? Inquiring OCD's want to know! :)

I didn't realize that guest authors don't see the little "publish on" option that allows one to pre- or post-date a post until DaShiv told me. But since DaShiv is brilliant, he also figured out how to get around the problem. Here an excerpt from his email that explains how:
