Well i've bought some new hosting and once it's live i'll get an appeal going (if anyone can think of easy ways of making that more fun then please say)

in the meantime we need a temporary host so if anyone can host us for three or four days then i'd be very grateful - e-mail me any offers. cheers.

Update from dodgy

I'm making this a regular post, so it will be obvious, but here's what dodgy has commented in the "What Happened" post:

We've been running on shared hosting and it looks like we've outgrown it *. So, I'm going to shortly try and bring the site back up on a slightly reduced service and then move us to a dedicated server as soon as I can. If anyone has any recommended ISPs then it'd be enormously helpful if you could let me know. In an ideal world I could also move the Shoutcast server to the dedicated server which would absorb some of the cost.

* Specifically: our database is too big. The hosts don't want any query that searches more than five thousand rows which means I can't do any queries on our comments data. Bummer.

I've made this blog for those soul-searing moments when mecha is down for any reason, to share information, or just to get in touch with each other and... you know... chat.
