T
oday, class, I would like to talk to you about Drop Caps. Drop caps can be a great way of breaking up long pages of text or adding big drama to a single paragrah presentation, but, frankly, most of the CSS drop caps I've seen look like doodie (and I don't mean that in a 'good' way). But it's actually quite easy to make very attractive drop caps if you use a little logic and some simple arithmetic. There are many, many tutorials on how to create a CSS drop cap, so my point here won't be to tell you which CSS technique to use so much as how to configure it once you've chosen. Sound good? Then walk this way...

Hi there .. Great site ! Precisely what I was looking for!!
I followed your instructions and got myself beautiful drop caps..
Only one problem that I cant figure out. In the following pages http://ranabtawi.com/files/Bbq.htm the "N" and the "o" are touching .
and in http://ranabtawi.com/files/Restaurants.htm
the "M" and the "e" are overlaying one another.
Can you please help me decipher why?
Thanks a million!
